The structure, variety of workouts and overall level of physical fitness are second to none! Jason and Tony are two of the best instructors I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. This is my beginning. These are my people. They train with purpose, encourage you to push past the suck, offer accountability and lead by example. The class is diverse in every aspect yet, the playing field is level. Each of us are challenged beyond our limits and discover we are capable of far more than what our mind had us believing. They observe and correct. Even if it takes an analytical brain like mine a little extra time, they welcome the opportunity to break down situations and show WHY we do what we do (bless Tony’s heart for always being called in to be the opponent). It’s clear that together, the coaches are more than trainers; they are a family. Even still, there always seems to be an extra seat at their table for all who want to join. You can bet there will be laughter, bear crawls and monkey jumps but, nonetheless, a good time will be had by all! As cool as they are, there are even cooler people that are in the classes! Each of us are trying to navigate our way through the trenches yet, there are always cheers of encouragement for someone who has a moment of weakness! No one is left behind. No injury completely sidelines anyone. Modifications are made and we press forward as group. This is how life should be!

I had initially signed up with Crazy Monkey Boxing for self-defense training and fitness, but what I gained from my experience was so much more. Not only did I learn some of the physical techniques of martial arts, but I developed both physical and mental strength, and was introduced to a new way of being.
